Refuse to hurry
Not a technical measure, and the one that covers the widest range of the register.
Why they all need it
Checking defeats nearly everything in this register, and the only reliable way to prevent checking is to make somebody feel there is no time. That is why a deadline, a warning or a consequence for delay appears in almost every profile. It is not decoration, it is the load bearing part.
The shapes urgency takes

What unhurried looks like
- Boring. It states what happened, what it affects, and usually that you need do nothing.
- Dated inside the signature, so the date cannot be adjusted without breaking it.
- Signed without commentary about being signed. It does not tell you how trustworthy it is.
- Asking for nothing. Not credentials, not confirmation, not a reply.
- Repeated elsewhere over time, rather than existing in one place with a deadline attached.
How to actually do it
Give yourself a fixed rule rather than a judgement, because judgement is what urgency attacks. Anything that wants action inside a stated period gets nothing for at least a day. Anything arriving during an outage gets nothing until the outage ends. Anything asking for credentials gets nothing ever. Three rules, no assessment required, and between them they cover most of what would otherwise reach you at your worst moment.
